A Salzmann és Társa Rt. (németül Salzmann und Co. Aktiengensellschaft) 1933. április 11-én alakult meg Salzmann Walter Rudolf és a Salzmann és Co. St. Gallen cég alapítványi tőkéjéből. A vállalat székhelye Budapest volt. 1938-ban Vácott állított fel a társaság egy fonodai üzemet, de a cérnázóüzem továbbra is Budapesten maradt. 1950. április 1-jén visszamenőleges hatállyal államosították a gyárat.
Jogutódjai a Cérnázógyár N. V., mely budapesti és a Finompamutfonó N. V. váci székhellyel működtek az 1950. október 1-jén bekövetkezett egyesülésig.
