A főtéri Technika Házát, a Pannónia ház teljesen átépített és korszerűsített épülettömbjét 1982-ben adták át. Az épület a MTESZ Pest megyei szervezetének lett a szákháza, ahol helyet kapott a városi tanács anyakönyvi hivatala, a népességnyilvántartó hivatal és méltó elhelyezést biztosítottak a Családi Intézet (korábban Családi és Társadalmi Ünnepeket Rendező Intézet) munkájához is.
