A Vásártér Külső során lévő Neumann-féle ecetgyárat Neumann Manó alapította 1862-ben. Már az 1873-ik évi bécsi világkiállításon érmet nyert, s ugyancsak sikerrel szerepelt a philadelphiai és a párizsi világkiállításon is. Terméke, a „14 hidrátos ecet” rendkívül keresett cikk volt a Balkán rszágaiban is. A 48 ecetkészitő káddal működő gyárban 25-30 munkás
