A Győri Képző- és Iparművészeti Társulat alakuló közgyűlésére 1919. szeptember 28-án délelőtt 11 órai kezdettel, ünnepi keretek között került sor a Városháza Dísztermében. 1919 és 1944 között a Társulat 47 különféle kiállítást rendez.
Taglétszáma 1919-ben 350 fő, a legmagasabb 1923-ban: 1303 fő, 1947-ben már csak 273 fő.
