History
Tatabánya Város Tanácsának Végrehajtó Bizottsága a 36/1978. sz. határozatával 1979. január l-jétől gazdaságilag összevontan működtette a város fenntartásában lévő művelődési otthonokat Városi Művelődési Központként. Az új intézmény központilag a bánhidai Puskin Művelődési Házban kapott helyet. Az önkormányzat 1991. december 3l-jével megszüntette az intézményt, visszaállítva a területi művelődési házak önállóságát.
